How Save A Vet Foundation (SAV) 
Independently Dedicates Service - as an NGO
To the Veterans Affairs Administration:

1. Reduces government spending on transportation and housing costs of Veterans and their families for needed services to facilities far away from home.

2. Reduces government spending on expansion of programs and buildings by utilizing referral programs to local hospitals closer to the Veterans’ home.

3. Reduces government spending for service at non-VA hospitals through SAV discounted contracts. 

4. Reduces government costs by improved long-term outcomes and decreased length of stay through early detection and treatment of disease.

5. Reduces incidences of Veteran depression, suicide and drug dependence through improved rehabilitation resources; research indicates increased anxiety, anger and declined health during prolonged waiting times for Veteran medical services.

6. Provides efficient and expeditious processes for providing diagnostic testing, outpatient procedures and rehabilitation through “co-op extension unit/hospitals”

7. We wish to credit the VA, giving recognition for improved customer satisfaction and long-term outcomes by assuring Veteran’s health care needs are met through all available pathways when referring Veteran’s to SAV.

8. We wish to recognize the VA in media recognition for overcoming obstacles to Veteran care by utilizing the SAV referral and coordination system.

9. Increased integrity of medical records through direct transmittal of patient information, case history and other important information between VA physicians and staff and the civilian physicians.

10. Assist expanding Disability Counsel Assistance Program and Medical Evaluation Board Outreach Programs.

11. Immediate expansion of VA resources for short-term needs at local centers of excellence for targeted and specific care.
